3. Thoughts on the Declaration

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. 

Unalienable Rights are from God, not from any Government, Agency, or man.  Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness (which most believe to be Property) are from God.  One cannot take away what one did not give.  In other words, since the United States did not grant us the unalienable right of Liberty, the United States has no authority to deny any person liberty if that person is a law abiding citizen.

Has the Government been intruding on your Liberty lately?

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, 

The sole purpose of Government is to secure God’s unalienable rights for its citizens; there is no other purpose.  The Founders also stated that the only powers (just powers) that the Government has are those that are granted it from the people.

Congress has only 18 enumerated powers granted by us in the Constitution in Article I, Section 8.  Has the Government exercised unauthorized powers against you lately?

That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government

If any Government can deny us rights that it did not grant us and/or if any Government begins to exercise powers not granted to it by its citizens, that Government becomes destructive of its very purpose and its citizens have the right to alter or abolish the tyrannical Government and to institute a new Government in its place.

As a minimum, it is time to begin thinking about abolishing this Government and we can begin by voting the current Congress out of office in November of 2010.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

Our Founders suffered horribly for our freedom.  Many died.  They pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred Honor to fight for liberty, knowing full well the consequences of their actions.  As a minimum, we today must pledge to throw out the despots in our Government beginning with the election in November 2010.

  1. AMEN, I’M FOR GETTING THEM OUT, BUT WHO IS READY TO GO IN AFTER THEM? WHAT PLAN DO THEY HAVE FOR UNDOING THE DAMAGE THAT’S BEEN DONE? HOW CAN I HELP?

    • Educate yourself and others, research the candidates-support those who pledge to follow the Constitution, spread the word, encourage others to vote and contact your elected officials and let them know how they are doing.
